On Day 2 of the NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys addressed their offensive line once more as they selected Cooper Beebe.

Jerry Jones opted to draft Tyler Guyton in the opening round and he is predicted to slot into the left tackle role.

America’s Team has addressed further concerns on offense with the choice of Beebe.

However, their Draft plans were dealt a significant blow in the second round after the Carolina Panthers stole Jonathon Brooks.

Dallas miss out on their preferred running back before drafting a linebacker

Jones had described Brooks as the best player he has ever had the pleasure of interviewing in the last 30 years.

This hammer blow was brushed off swiftly as they were on the clock 10 picks later.

Dallas secured athletic linebacker Marshawn Kneeland out of Western Michigan.

After the events of the opening night, the Cowboys did not have to wait long before choosing their next rookie to supplement the roster.

The front office had the Lions’ early third-round choice at pick number #73 overall.

Cooper Beebe could slot in at center with the Cowboy’s third pick

Franchise quarterback Dak Prescott received further protection in the form of Kansas State rookie Cooper Beebe.

Jerry Jones is demonstrating his player recruitment skills that have shown through in previous drafts.

Beebe is a hybrid offensive lineman who has played snaps at tackle and guard.

Cowboys reporter Todd Archer stated that Beebe has had initial conversations about playing center for Dallas.

Based on the roster needs and the 22-year-old’s flexibility, the Cowboys will possibly use the O-Lineman as a center.

Due to salary cap considerations, Dallas was forced to let many starters walk and hit free agency.

Tyler Biadasz joined the Washington Commanders after hitting free agency

Starting center Tyler Biadasz departed and left a massive hole that the team had to fill in the Draft.

Listed as a guard, Beebe registered a Next Gen Stats combined score of 82 that ranked him first in his position.

The Cowboys now have a new face to cheer on at AT&T Stadium in 2024 and must give their potential center a running back to protect.

So far, the Cowboys have addressed positions of need and have not been tempted into taking the best player on the board.

Ultimately, the Cowboys have made excellent strides but still have crucial gaps to plug.
