Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs is calling for brother Stefon to leave Buffalo

Dallas Cowboys injured Pro Bowl cornerback Trevon Diggs is not happy with how his brother is being treated in Buffalo.

NFL life in Orchard Park, New York, has not been sunshine and rainbows lately.

Just like last season, the Buffalo Bills were expected to be Super Bowl contenders in 2023, but that appears less likely as each week passes.

As if losing to the lowly New England Patriots wasn’t bad enough, Sean McDermott’s team thought they’d beaten the Denver Broncos on Monday night, only to be flagged for too many men on the game’s final play and the Broncos emerging victorious.

Buffalo’s top receiver for years has been Stefon Diggs, who is fifth in receiving yards this season (868).

In the prime-time spot, though, on Monday night, the Bills receiver had just three catches for 34 yards.

His brother Trevon, out for a season with a torn ACL, used his free time to rant on social media.

Trevon’s cryptic message

The three catches made by Stefon against the Broncos on Monday were the fewest for him in a single game all year.

However, Diggs still leads the Bills with 102 targets, while Gabe Davis is well behind him in second at 55.

Four-quarters of very few looks, though was the last straw for Trevon, who is seemingly urging his brother to leave Buffalo, posting this on Twitter:

Stefon to Dallas?

Trevon’s tweet and Buffalo’s struggles have many wondering what the future holds for Stefon Diggs.

The trade deadline has passed, so there’s no chance he’s leaving the Bills this season, but what about after that?

Should the Cowboys want him, they’ll have to pay a ton to bring him over.

Diggs is currently under contract beyond the 2027 campaign becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2028.

The Bills restructured his contract ahead of this season, saving $5.46 million in cap space.

Diggs’ cap hit for 2023 is $14.875 million, $27.854 million the following year, and $27.354 million in 2025.

Does he seem happy in Buffalo? Not really, but it also doesn’t make much cap sense for the Bills to let him go in the next few years.

As for the Cowboys, they’ve got more than enough receiving weapons who’re clicking right now and locked up for the foreseeable future.

No matter how you slice it, this would be a lose/lose for the Bills and Cowboys.
