Chris Jones names Super Bowl winning free-agent he wants Chiefs to bring back to squad

The Kansas City Chiefs have a solid and fairly complete squad, but there is still a vacancy to be filled in the team.

In order to give bigger contracts to the team’s big stars, the franchise had to let go of players. All this with the idea that 2024 is a crucial year for the history of the organisation and the NFL.

L’Jarius Sneed was traded to the Tennessee Titans, but the linebacker position is still in good hands, although it naturally loses a bit of explosion with LJ’s departure.

Veteran stars like Chris Jones and Travis Kelce have had their contracts renewed and are the highest paid in their positions.

The free agent who is a two-time champion with the Chiefs

Defensive end Frank Clark, selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round of the 2015 Draft, is currently a free agent.

He played for the Chiefs between 2019 and 2022, winning two Super Bowls with the franchise.

In March 2023, KC waived him and the DE signed with the Denver Broncos, but things didn’t go well and he was let go after five games.

From then on, everything went downhill. Clark signed with the Seahawks in October and was waived again two months later.

Chris Jones, however, would like him to return to the Chiefs.

Chris Jones would like to have a former teammate back in the squad

On 2 July, Chris Jones was tagged in an Instagram story by someone, probably a fan, asking him to exert his influence and bring Frank Clark back.

“@chiefs please get him back. @stonecoldjones please help get him back.”

Jones reposted the request on his personal account and added a message: “Bring the slime back.”

Having Clark in the squad would be an option because he already knows the system and is used to the rest of the team.

What’s more, he’s a defender who can impose himself on both the running game and the passing game.
