There are moves afoot at Kansas City’s AFC rivals, highlighting a big mistake at another NFL franchise.
The Chicago Bears have the number one pick in this year’s NFL Draft. They have a huge decision to make, haunted by their error in 2017.
The Bears chose to draft Mitch Trubisky with the number two pick – passing on Patrick Mahomes.
Mahomes was selected at number 10 by the Kansas City Chiefs, who have since gone on to win three Super Bowls.

Buffalo Bills sign Mitch Trubisky
A new twist has emerged in Mitch Trubisky’s fading career. After a stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he has signed with the Buffalo Bills.
Trubisky will back up Josh Allen at Kansas City’s AFC rivals, who were defeated by the Chiefs in the Divisional Round in 2023.
Buffalo have been haunted by their failures to get past the Chiefs, and are going through some changes.
Last night the Bills announced they would be releasing star defensive players Jordan Poyer and Tre’Davius White, along with centre Mitch Morse.
They also released Siran Neal, which means they have no players left from the trade they made with Kansas City which allowed the Chiefs to acquire the fateful number 10 pick in the NFL Draft.
Thanks to Mahomes, they have been left with nothing to show for it. They were over the cap heading into free agency, and are now faced with having to rebuild their defense.
Now Buffalo have a spare part quarterback in reserve, whose drafting ahead of Mahomes by the Bears looks like one of the worst decisions a NFL team has made in recent memory.
